This week at El Nahual...Christmas caroling!

The countdown is on for the visit to the nursing home on Friday. The kids have each made a Christmas ornament as a gift for the ladies at the home and we’re hoping to take some cake and jelly (Jell-O to North Americans), too.

¨Jingle Bells¨ is coming along swimmingly, and the Spanish song we decided on is ¨Mi Burrito Sabañero (Little Donkey)¨. Tiffany says all the kids love the song, especially the little ones. Watch this space for a recording of them singing! Today they start creating their songbooks to record all the memories from caroling at the ladies´ home on Friday. The rest of the week will be spent learning how to play the instruments at different volumes rhythms, and of course practice, practice, practice!

The little firecrackers have been revisiting the old favourite ¨Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes¨. Pilar has been pushing them hard with an exam on animals but keeping them amused with vocab games out in the sunshine.

We still have our wonderful ladies from Belgium helping at the construction, and it seems like we are on track to make the big move over there at the start of January – great work everyone!

Til next week,
